RUNA

RUNA

Function:  Daughter of the god Kashchei, she is the goddess of mountains, caves and underground, minerals and wealth in general. She is the powerful mistress of the underground realm, she rules over many underground beings led by dwarves, permonics and many other types of goblins, underground spirits and fairies.

Image: A queen of immense beauty is dressed in the most luxurious clothes embroidered with gold, silver and studded with precious stones. In addition to gold and silver, her jewelry is also made of iron, copper and other metals, in which precious stones and crystals, even salt, are set. She has dark eyes that seem even darker because her eternally young and smooth face, without a single wrinkle, is radiantly pale.

Symbols: Salamander, lantern and chicory, precious stones and crystals.

Sacrifices: Salt, bread, wine, tools for replenishing treasures, and also products made from their gifts.

Holidays: At the beginning of December, sacrifices were made to Kovlad and Runa; in the Christian era, this holiday fell to Saint Barbara. The third night after the solstice, later John's night, was also an important day, when it is said that the secrets of the mountains and the underground are revealed.

Note: Together with Kovlad, they are givers of wealth, but they don't like greed, and perhaps that's why Runa has the property, thanks to which she can turn anything into gold or even salt with her touch. And so woe to the greedy person who craves too much gold, because Runa can give him that gold, and can even turn him into a pillar of gold, but sometimes also into a pillar of salt.
