RUGEVIT

Function: The son of Perun, also called Rinvit, is the god of strength and war, and is also called the spirit of place, as he often sanctifies places where strength can be obtained. He rules with enormous power and is characterized by the following qualities and virtues: speed, endurance, agility, power, discontent, desire for victory and implacability.

Image: He has seven faces that symbolize his attributes. Even though his body is slim, Rugevít radiates strength, even his gaze is full of strength and determination. He wears seven swords around his waist, and one is always held in his right hand, ready for battle. Sometimes he wears a wire shirt, but he prefers to be half-naked.

Symbols: Eight swords, steel, a tooth or tur, an oak is dedicated to him.

Sacrifices: Bread, pies, porridge, honey cakes, wine, as well as weapons and spoils of war.

Holidays: The period dedicated to him is the time of the waxing of the moon before the thunderbolts.

Note: In magical ceremonies, he is invoked as a warrior or giver of unearthly power. He was also challenged before military campaigns or matches.
