Function: Son of the god Svarog and Lady, also called Kolejda or Koleda. Božič is an epithet meaning that he is a child of the gods. He is the god of the winter sun, symbolizes the victory of good over evil, is the deity of rebirth and new beginnings.

Symbols Sun disc, svarga, child - infant, hemlock, spruce and mistletoe, apple, ram. Its number is one and its cardinal direction is north.

Sacrifices: Badik, bread, eggs, honey, cereals, poppy seeds, nuts, peas, salt, linen, apples, plums and cherries, as well as jam. It is sacrificed by being thrown into the flames of the sacred fire.

Holidays: Winter solstice               

Note: Note Badik is a log consecrated and sprinkled with offerings, ritually thrown into the fire. During the Koliad holiday, people went around the houses with a figure of a child, a newborn sun, while singing, wishing and begging for gifts, and asking for blessings.
